Rugby Libre Kenya Information

On this occasion the Rugby Libre tour travels to Kenya in collaboration with the NGO Kubuka. This NGO aims to create sustainable development, focusing on education and entrepreneurship as a drive for change. Kubuka is committed to supporting and creating projects that last over time, giving the necessary tools and empowerment to the communities where the projects are located. The Kubuka organization currently has collaborations in Kenya and Zambia.


The project in which Rugby Libre has collaborated is Lisha Children's Home, a shelter located in Tala (Nairobi), created to give orphaned or vulnerable boys and girls an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty by improving so their quality of life. These boys and girls have in the center the basic needs covered such as: health, education, nutrition, psychological and social attention, and their families receive help and direct intervention.


PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Below are the objectives pursued by the Rugby Libre team during their stay in Kenya.


- Transmit values present in rugby and extend them to daily life.

  • The humility to know our own limitations and learn based on them.
  • Respect for themselves and for the people around them
  • The passion to give oneself and be able to achieve an end together with others.

- Provide necessary elements for personal and social flourishing.

- Offer tools for understanding and controlling one's own emotions and those of others.

- Strengthen belonging and trust in the group.
