The Village restaurant is a big, white, tent. Thousands of athletes from all the countries and their staff go there. It’s remarkable to see all the different stands with food from Asia, Africa, Europe, so everybody can eat according to their own culture.
The instalations are really good. The Olympic Village is built to accommodate athletes that take part at the Olympic Games. At the Olympic Village of Río everything has been built in time, but it looks like it’s been done to the limit, as there are some details to be finished. Our apartment is spacious and luminous, with a beautiful view.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from one side to the other of the Olympic Village. Besides the residences, the medical facilities and the gym, there are some other services, but we haven’t had time enough to explore everything. Some federations have even brought bikes to move around the Village.
So here we are, ready for the last days before the starting of the Games.

Last Friday we arrived after 9 pm to the Olympic Village. After watching so many times the Olympic games, we had imagine many times what the Olympic Village would be like, and the expectation was enormous.
The Olympic Village of Río de Janeiro is a small residential area with big buildings, between 30 and 31, of 18 floors. There are green areas around the building with beautiful gardens. Apart from the residences for the athletes, there are medicine and physiotherapist services, gyms and some shops.
